Ford Motor (NYSE: F) posted a 185.21% decrease in earnings from Q2. Sales, however, increased by 108.8% over the previous quarter to $34.71 billion. Despite the increase in sales this quarter, the decrease in earnings may suggest Ford Motor is not utilizing their capital as effectively as possible.
Zynga (NASDAQ: ZNGA) reported Q3 sales of $627.96 million. Earnings fell to a loss of $121.64 million, resulting in a 5.94% decrease from last quarter. In Q2, Zynga brought in $518.13 million in sales but lost $129.32 million in earnings.
During Q3, Royal Caribbean Cruises (NYSE: RCL) brought in sales totaling $-33.69 million. However, earnings decreased 22.33%, resulting in a loss of $996.11 million. In Q2, Royal Caribbean Cruises brought in $175.60 million in sales but lost $1.28 billion in earnings.
